Why Jesus resisted “the temptation to do evil that good may come”

29 May 2022 is Ascension Sunday, a celebration of Jesus’ ascension to be with God, following Jesus’ death and resurrection.

The main focus of Rev. Geoff McKee’s sermon is on Ephesians 1:15-23 but he also refers back to Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness by the Devil, explaining an important parallel between these things.

And for his teaching on life and worship in the Spirit.

His extensive repertoire of 24 musicals, several hymn collections and teaching publications on Spirit-led worship have enriched the lives of many people around the globe.

Happy Easter!

One modern-day thinker respected by the Church of Scotland in its approach to theology is Dr Timothy Keller (1950 – 2023) – see, for example, the pamphlet “What can I say?” (link to PDF download).

In a world ravaged by war, poverty and fear, on this Easter Sunday, arguably the happiest day of the year in the Christian calendar, here are some words you might like to hear – from Tim Keller.

In an interview recorded with Matt Smethurst in 2021, Tim Keller was asked if he could give any words of reassurance to Christians who are nervous about the future.

At that time, Tim was terminally ill with pancreatic cancer.

The reference to “Kathy” is to his wife.
