Moderator Visits Moray and St James’

May 5, 2016 by 2

The Moderator of the Church of Scotland, the Right Rev Dr Angus Morrison, is on an 8-day visit to Moray, taking in a range of locations and experiences.

As he nears the end of his time in post, in his own words, he has saved the ‘best till last’ in visiting the region.

You can read more details of the itinerary, for when the Moderator visits Moray, elsewhere – for example, in this article in the Northern Scot.

We look forward to welcoming the Moderator and his wife, Marion, to St James’ on the evening of Sunday 08 May 2016 (6.30pm), when he will be preaching at a Service of Worship which will include presentation of long-service certificates. This ‘presentation’ element will see folk from a number of other local churches also converging on St James’ and we look forward to seeing all of you too.

If you are free this Sunday evening, we would be very glad to see you at this special celebratory service – and afterwards, when there will be tea and shortbread served in the Fellowship Hall (also part of the church building).

Details of how to find St James’ Church are in the Find Us section of this website.

So then dear brothers and sisters, be firm. Do not be moved! Always be
outstanding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord, your labour is
not in vain.
