Wednesday 4th March 2015 sees us celebrating the first anniversary of the Drop-in, which meets weekly on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm – 3.30pm.
Thank you to all who have supported this:
- those who help with the organisation,
- the setting up and tidying away,
- the baking, and
- the serving of teas; and
- to all those who come along to join us for a cuppa, a homebake and a chat.
The numbers attending average between 20 – 40 per week, and there is a lovely buzz from the chatter.
There is no fixed charge for attending, but we suggest a donation of £1.
Over the year, and thanks to the generosity of the helpers who donate the homebaking, the group has raised over £2,000.
Part of this was used to purchase a new fridge for the hall kitchen, and the rest has been donated to the Fabric Fund.
If you have not yet been to join us for your Wednesday afternoon cuppa, we look forward to seeing you soon.
