Christmas Church Services 2022 in Lossiemouth

Join us in the celebrations – late on Christmas Eve, on Christmas Day morning and for the perfect start 🙂 to your 2023. Here are the times and locations of the Lossiemouth Church of Scotland services for the Christmas period 2022-23.

Christmas Services at St. Gerardine’s High and St. James’ Church 2022

St James’ Watchnight service – Saturday 24th December at 11.15pm.

There will be mulled wine and shortbread in the hall from 10.30pm on Christmas Eve, prior to the Watchnight service. All welcome.

St Gerardine’s High Christmas day – Sunday 25th December at 10am.

New Year’s Day Elders-led service at St James’ – Sunday 1st January at 10am.

You are most welcome to attend any of the above services over the Christmas and New Year period, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Happy Easter!

One modern-day thinker respected by the Church of Scotland in its approach to theology is Dr Timothy Keller (1950 – 2023) – see, for example, the pamphlet “What can I say?” (link to PDF download).

In a world ravaged by war, poverty and fear, on this Easter Sunday, arguably the happiest day of the year in the Christian calendar, here are some words you might like to hear – from Tim Keller.

In an interview recorded with Matt Smethurst in 2021, Tim Keller was asked if he could give any words of reassurance to Christians who are nervous about the future.

At that time, Tim was terminally ill with pancreatic cancer.
