Children’s Holiday Club in Lossiemouth in July 2024 – Amplify

May 3, 2024 by 2

There’s so much to say about this year’s club that we couldn’t fit it all in the banner image.

Download a PDF Registration Form (one per child, please) HERE.

Carol and Chris from Out of the Box (OOTB) will be back again with another fun-filled five days of Songs, Bible Stories, Games, Puppets, Challenges, Crafts and Refreshments!

Here’s a better-sized poster –

Out of the Box (OOTB) are writing new material for this year’s club, which is really exciting news.

Called AMPLIFY, it will focus on some promises of God. Here are OOTB’s current Bible teaching ideas for the week:

DayThemeBible BaseTeaching ApplicationMemory verse
MonPromise of LoveJohn 3:16The world was created out of Love. Jesus came to show love. He promises His love.Gen 1:31
TuePromise of GuidancePsalm 32:8Through Jesus death, resurrection and Holy Spirit we have a promise God can guided us today.Ephesians 10:1
WedPromise of RestMatthew 11:28Life can be confusing and difficult but God promises us He will give us rest.Psalm 91:15
ThurPromise of ConnectionPhilippians 4:6-7God promises that He will always listen when we pray.Matt 1:22
FriPromise of TrustProverbs 3:5-6God’s promise He can be trusted even though life may be up and down. He asks us to trust Him for a future that’s far better than the world we are in now. Heaven.John 3:16

OOTB are planning to film the teaching videos in May and hopefully have the whole resource ready by June. The theme will be based around a recording studio and so they’ll set the front of the hall up like that….lots of musical instruments, mics, stands, speakers etc.

Sound good?

Easter Sunday 2026 – He is Risen but how do we still have Hope?

April 5, 2026 By 2

“Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!”

Happy Easter!

One modern-day thinker respected by the Church of Scotland in its approach to theology is Dr Timothy Keller (1950 – 2023) – see, for example, the pamphlet “What can I say?” (link to PDF download).

In a world ravaged by war, poverty and fear, on this Easter Sunday, arguably the happiest day of the year in the Christian calendar, here are some words you might like to hear – from Tim Keller.

In an interview recorded with Matt Smethurst in 2021, Tim Keller was asked if he could give any words of reassurance to Christians who are nervous about the future.

At that time, Tim was terminally ill with pancreatic cancer.

The reference to “Kathy” is to his wife.
