Bible Study Group Has Begun

October 10, 2016 by 2

Rev. Geoff McKee has started a joint Bible Study for St James’ and St Gerardine’s High in the Manse (St Gerardine’s Road, Lossiemouth IV31 6RA – which can be found at the junction of James Street and St Gerardine’s Road) on Wednesday nights at 7.30pm.

All welcome.

Here’s what Jean Symon thought of it:

We were studying John 18.

It is being looked at over several weeks, in sections. We read aloud part of the passage – a couple of lines each – and Geoff guided us throughout with an in-depth explanation of the significance of these verses. He referred back to other passages and reference points which had already been studied. There was no expectation for us to arrive at details with which we were unfamiliar.

It was a comfortable 30 minute class and, afterwards, tea, coffee and biscuits were served.

We sat in a comfortable room, with settees and extra folding chairs brought in until all were seated. Unexpectedly there was the added comfort of an open fire. It is therefore not difficult to understand how this class is to be recommended.

Just a friendly atmosphere and an opportunity to learn and meet new people.

So, the Bible Study Group has begun and, if you would like more information, feel free to get in touch via the Contact form on this website.
